Bob Eggleton 鲍伯.艾格尔顿出生于美国罗得岛州首府普罗维登斯是当今最优秀的科幻、奇幻艺术家之一，自幼喜欢魔幻题材的作品，并开始尝试创作，多部以哥斯拉为题材的作品，使他拥有了众多fans，1988年入围雨果奖并于1994年获得了最佳职业艺术家奖，随即于1996至1999年连续四年蝉联该奖项；至于获得的其它奖项更是数不胜数。2003年再度获得雨果奖最佳职业艺术家奖无疑是对鲍伯.艾格尔顿长期努力工作的肯定。鲍伯.艾格尔顿是一名成功的科幻幻想风景画家。他的光辉履历中有7项Hugo奖和11项切斯利奖由于名声在外，他的杂志和书籍封面在市场上的销路一直很好。虽然他在美术方面的成就已经有目共睹但他并不满足，于是他来到了电影的领域，为幕后的制作提供概念化的插图设计。他的作品也不断地出现在一些著名的专业的科幻/幻想杂志中，并受到了大众的热烈欢迎，尤其是他以龙为主题的作品更成为画迷们热衷的收藏品。
